Diversity in Health Care Scholarship

The Diversity in Health Care Scholarship is focused on supporting underrepresented clinical professionals seeking to advance their clinical skills and credentials.

To apply, applicants must:
• Be a current or former healthcare professional with an active license/certificate to practice (e.g., individuals with experience in clinical health care roles), seeking to advance their clinical credentials.
• Be pursuing certifications or degrees that will advance clinical skills (e.g., CNA to LPN, Nurse Practitioner receiving a certification as a psychiatric-mental health NP or other “upskilling” clinical pathways) in a clinical health career (e.g., as a nurse, physician assistant, clinical psychologist, or clinical social worker). Physicians who are seeking additional certifications or degrees are not eligible.
• Be planning to enroll for the Spring 2024 term in an accredited program in the United States, as a full or part- time post-secondary student (undergraduate or graduate). Both in-person and virtual attendance qualify.
• Self-identify as a historically underrepresented student, including those who identify as Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander.
• Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident.
