Golden Leaf Scholars Program
The Golden LEAF Scholars Program was designed to provide economic assistance to rural low economic areas of the state. Two-Year Colleges scholarships help cover the cost of tuition, fees, books, supplies, credentialing tests, transportation, childcare and other components of the total cost of attendance.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be enrolled at least full-time for fall and spring; Summer school students must be enrolled at least 6 credit hours. Grants for less-than-full-time students will be prorated based on hours of enrollment and pending availability of funds:
Full-Time 12+ credits may receive up to $1,125 per semester (Fall and Spring)
Quarter-Time 9-11 credits may receive up to $844 per semester (Fall and Spring)
Part-Time 6-8 credits may receive up to $563 per semester (Fall and Spring)
At least 6+ credits may receive up to $563 (Summer) - Demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA.
- Be a resident of North Carolina
- Reside in a rural county that is tobacco dependent, or economically destressed, as determined by the Golden LEAF Foundation
